We're not west enders and had only heard of Chances R two years ago. We dined there with a friend and immediately wished they had an east end location. With COVID restrictions and distance we only returned this year when my had a medical appointment...not far away. First off I would like to say that our breakfast could not be faulted and our server was great. The serious flaw in the whole experience was when the hostess took us to the very worst seat in the restaurant, the booth directly adjacent to the kitchen doors, despite the fact that there were a number of unoccupied tables that were far better situated. Perhaps other disagree that the table by the busy kitchen door is fine or that I am being petty in my critique, but when the restaurant seats you at the worst table in the house when better choices are available, I feel they do not value your business. After a follow up medical appointment we drove back across the city and breakfasted at Perkins, where, as usual, they treated us with respect. Too bad really as in our two previous visits I did enjoy my meal at Chances R.
