After walking up and down past the many options on Davie street three times in overwhelmed indecision, I settled on Sumac Cafe. What an excellent decision! For a solo traveller, it felt perfectly comfortable and friendly as a place to eat out on my own....And the food! Spectacular flavours in the soup du jour. Generous portions for both soup and 'side' salad, and the two for a fantastic $9. Loved it so much I went back the following night. Highly recommend for simple, scrumptious, friendly, affordable eating.
