This is the classic hole in the wall find, with a small store front, funky decor and the value concentrated in the food. The owners are, as you guessed, of Japanese and Caribbean culture leading to some interesting options. My delight was the beef curry...with roti. The curry was, to my plate perfectly balance with many rich dimensions. The roti was stuffed with a chick pea mixture that added a flavor dimension to the anticipated texture. Add hot coffee (alas, not Blue Moutain) on a cold Vancouver rainy winter day, mix in some good company and a pleasurable experience is at hand.
