I was at the Trop last night (August 18, 2018) meeting up with some friends. When my friend and I got there there was a lineup. The bouncer informed us it’s overcapacity. Someone has to leave for us to get in. After waiting 20 minutes...one person left, since I was the next in line I decided to wait for my friend. The bouncer let 10 people in before my friend and none of them stood in line. After the 11th person, I realize they been giving the bouncer $20. I politely asked the bouncer, since it’s been 30 minutes, if he can let in my friend in. I also indicated to him, I realized what he’s doing and it’s not polite or fair to the people been standing in line over 30 minutes. I decided to go inside and make a official complaint. The Gentleman I spoke to who was behind the bar, claim to be the manager for the night, told me “deal with it, it’s the industry. Perhaps you should’ve gave him $20 as well”. It was my second time ever being in the Trop. I was very shocked and insulted to get a response like that from a manager. If this is the kind establishment they running, I will never go back there againMore
