Years ago when my mother and I had lunch at the Hawker's Delight, we found that the Singapore dishes we had (cannot remember) were disappointing. This time around after reading the excellent reviews about this tiny eatery I thought I would try it again. The...fried noodle dish was not authentic. As their advertisement states "Singaporean Restaurant ...." I had expected that the dish would be as one that I know. In the hawker style fried kuay teow there are no chicken pieces or bak chow, or tiger prawns in the dish. There are egg, fish cake, bean sprouts, dark sweet sauce, and chives. Clams a delicious add on, understandably not in Vancouver. And, the dish was not spicy, though the the post-it on the cover of the container stated "spicy". The dish has been adulterated.
