I've been here a few times -- in fact I've reviewed this place before. I didn't have a great experience the first time, but at a friend's insistence, I've returned a couple of times, and things were fine -- not great, not bad, just basically...ok. However, tonight was my last trip to this place. When I entered, I waited almost 2 minutes before anyone came out from the kitchen to greet me. It's weird standing in an empty restaurant by yourself, wondering if in fact they're open. I ordered the special, which is a main course with a mango salad and spring rolls. Salad and spring rolls were fine, but main course arrived at the same time as appetizers -- which meant it got cold. Both the salad and spring rolls were tasty enough, but the main course (cashew chicken) was SO HOT that I could barely eat a bite without feeling like my mouth was on fire. I took a picture, and you can see that the hot sauce is literally coating the food. And here's the kicker -- I ordered "medium". Every time I've been to this restaurant I order medium, and never has it been like this! So, I quickly finished the provided glass of water, and hoped for more. Except no one came to check on me -- no "how's the food" -- nothing. And -- I was the ONLY customer in the restaurant. I finally went to the counter and did a loud "excuse me", and asked for more water. When the waitress brought the water, I mentioned that the food was really, really hot. Her response? She laughed at me and told me that's how they do their medium. I tried to eat a bit more, but there was really no flavour other than hot. I gave up and wanted my bill. I waited 15 (FIFTEEN!!) minutes -- from the time I finished until I got so fed up that once again I went to the counter and asked for my bill. I mentioned that I had been waiting, and received not so much as an apology. I also mentioned that I have been a repeat customer for quite a while and that I was surprised by the dismissive attitude. Long story, short (sort of) -- I won't be back. Giant waste of $20.
