I received a gift card to this restaurant. First visit for dinner was 3-4 stars, second visit for breakfast was a disaster. Appearance is disruptive, French chic - but shares kitchen with adjoining pub (Pennyfarthing). Served us a cold cup of coffee from the bottom...of a carafe - asked politely for a second, equally frigid. Soft poached order delivered as cold and hard poached with - get this - "potato nuggets" (menu description) which are in fact McCain style frozen pre-cooked potato something reheated, and then allowed to cool. I was tempted to offer to go into the kitchen and cook all breakfasts for the remainder of the morning, after buying real potatoes at the market across the street. McDonalds will deliver you a better cup of coffee. The kitchen team sabotages all the appearance and anticipation at front of house. Horrific ! avoid. Carry on down Oak Bay avenue fro 2 min to Shine (two locations) for proper cooking.
