Just came back from our first visit to Persis Grill in Orleans. The decor is impressive - they have recreated bas reliefs (what look to be life sized) from ancient Persepolis in Iran on the walls. We decided to order out of our comfort zone...and went for what we found to be the most original things on the menu and did not regret out choices. We started with the Mirzahasemi (smoky eggplant dip with a kind of rustic bread - very, very delicious) and for main courses we each tried a different stew (chicken/pomegranite/walnut and beef/dried lemon/herb). The service was quick and the server was friendly. Add in the fact that we could bring our own wine and that made for an exotic yet affordable food experience.
