I ate at La Socca for a first time a couple of weeks ago in spite that I live in Nun's Island since 25 years. The location was not inviting independently of the seasons, probably a question of personal perception.I asked for the "Table d'Hote"...menu and had a "courge" and sweet potato "potage" and grilled salmon as entree. Nothing was remarkable, it was just good, le potage was relatively tasty but somewhat cold; the salmon was well grilled as requested with a portion of also grilled vegetables including Brussels sprouts that unfortunately I do not eat. Service was slow and our water glasses were not refilled. We had wine by the glass but we drink fair amounts of water. I have read shared comments about service and food in La Socca and I am in the middle of those.
