My visit to SKLK was a very disappointing experience. I went in thinking that some spicy Eastern Mediterranean food would be welcome on a cold Vancouver day. But this wasn't the place where that was going to happen. The chap behind the counter was not...at all welcoming and the furnishings were cheap and uncomfortable with tinny blaring music. I ordered the Shawarma plate which consisted of rice and meat and a small Greek salad with three different sauces, each about a small teaspoon in volume. This was a very small meal, probably a children's portion in most other places. And the quality was not great. The meat was tasty enough, but was well dried out and as a result less than appetising. The meal was also served with a plastic teaspoon - yes, a teaspoon, not a grown up spoon. However that was more use than the tiny plastic fork that bent so easily it was essentially useless. And to top off the experience, the only coffee available was from one of those awful machines that makes that awful brown liquid that tastes not quite as good as cheap instant coffee, but without the convenience. The restaurant does have photos of the meals it purports to serve. I think if your meal looks anything like the photo it will be by accident. There are many restaurants in this area. It would be a mistake to choose this one.
