To be fair, this is our first visit, so perhaps the second visit will be better.
To be fair, this is our first visit, so perhaps the second visit will be better. Hydra is the cafe/bar of the EXchange Hotel on Pender, and we are not entirely sure of the layout. We went downstairs, which is a bar area, but was...told that there is a larger bar upstairs. Not sure where the elevator would be, so we settled for the downstairs. The lamb sliders, okay. The Hydra special, slices of deep-fried zucchini - too much of the same. Octopus, good. And so on. Altogether, hit and miss. But it's a newish place and still has that newish atmosphere. Will no doubt get better.
