In 1994 we traveled to Portugal and wandered the country for three weeks enjoying the sites and the food. We've been Portugal fans ever since. Every time we've come to Vancouver, B.C. since 1994 (at least 8 times) we've dined at the Portuguese Club. We...almost didn't go this time as we thought they were closed (we'd recommend a few more light bulbs toward the front entrance). The Portuguese Club seems to attract regulars, something we've noticed each time we've been there. The servers were very personable. Our food was wonderful! My husband ordered Carne de Porco a Alentejana (Pork and Clams) and I ordered Shrimp Piri Piri and Portuguese Fries (the potatoes are cut crossways like a potato chip). The Shrimp was excellent. The fries seemed to be tastier after I dragged them through my garlicky, piri piri flavored oil. We are so glad we went to the Portuguese Club again!More
