Few days ago I went with friends to “The Soup House Soup.com”, a small Chinese restaurant at Victoria Drive. When we arrived the restaurant was almost empty. The first what I realized was that this restaurant was focussed on Chinese customers only: a page of...the menu was almost completely written in Chinese and the description of dishes shown in pictures at another page was also written in Chinese only. Additionally, even part of the logo of the restaurant was a Chinese sign. Luckily, my friends were able to read and communicate in Chinese. They also recommended some dishes. According to them, this restaurant is famous for its dishes in clay pots as it is used to be prepared in Hong Kong. We ordered rice pots with Minced Pork Cake & Salted Duck Egg, with Minced Pork Cake & Preserved Veggie, with Pork Jowl & Salted Shrimp Sauce and with Braised Beef Finger Meat. The dishes came with bowls of soup. The soup was ok. Unfortunately, my soup contained meat with a big bone while the others had just plain meat. The taste of the dishes was good. My friends liked that place; I thought that I ate a better rice pot somewhere else. Anyways, the price was quite ok. When we left the restaurant was packed. If someone wants to have a good bow of rice, one can go there. It’s is a big advantage to be able to communicate in Chinese… 3.5 out of 5More
