For Senior Ladies Lunch, a different place is picked each month. The choice of Homer's proved an excellent one for 14 chatty women. Serving Winnipeg diners since 1979, this restaurant still has what it takes to please their customers. We seniors can be a picky...lot, but the server handled our various requests graciously and with a smile. I've been a fan of Mediterranean food since my trip to Greece, so I had high expectations that were met with ease. I had the lamb souvlaki which included their signature Avgolemono (chicken soup with lemon) The lamb was very tender and the soup beyond delicious! If you order one of their cakes/tortes, share with a friend - it's a huge portion. The bright and relaxing decor added to our enjoyment. There was room to accommodate walkers. The parking lot entrance is just before the building.
