Looking Ahead to a Great Year of Local Food!

Looking Ahead to a Great Year of Local Food!

by Jessica Gerber

We hosted our 2nd annual Holiday Celebration December 14th at Block 3 Brewery in St Jacobs. It was a blustery winter night outside but inside it was warm and joyful!  My Sisters Kitchen prepared some delicious finger foods for us to enjoy along with the great beer that Block 3 serves. We were very excited to fill guests in on what’s been happening at Foodlink and sharing some exciting news of new things coming.

One of the main topics for the night was our upcoming Foodlink conference happening at the end of February at the Kitchener Public Library. It is something that we are very excited for and looking forward to hosting. The theme for the day is 'Marketing that Works' and the event is open to everyone. Early bird tickets are now on sale. You can follow the link here to purchase tickets

We also touched base on next year’s Taste Local! Taste Fresh! event. The date has been set!  It is going to be held September 10th at Steckle Heritage Farm. We are very thankful to Steckle for hosting the event at their beautiful farm again this year.

Lastly map packages are being sent out beginning of the year. Along with the map ads we also have a variety of web ads available.  This is a great way for you to showcase your business.

Stay tuned for more information about the conference and all that Foodlink has to offer.  Thank you to everyone who came and helped us celebrate the holiday season at Block 3.  Also huge thank you once again to the guys at Block 3 for allowing us to hold our event at their brewery, My Sisters Kitchen for preparing the food and to Stemmlers for providing meats and cheeses.

Wishing you all the best in 2017!  Here’s to another great year of local food!
