Anyone who knows me knows that I love Food. I love to eat it, sure. But I also like to read about it, talk about it and try and convince anyone who listens that Food is more than just the fuel that keeps you going. Food is a broad term used to describe the building blocks of a healthy mind and body. After all, we are what we eat. But beyond that, the way in which Food is produced leads to fruitful discussion on the future of agriculture in our own local communities and, increasingly, into the larger global one. As a writer, environmentalist, local food enthusiast and mother of three, I am interested in spurring on a conversation about the issues surrounding our modern Food System. A great place to start is by reading some of the many books devoted to this topic. So let’s get reading!
