Lyndon Public Fishing and Hatcheries Inc.
Open: April 1 - October 31
7 days a week 9am - 5pm
New Dundee is home to Lyndon Public Fishing and Hatcheries, a combination of fish farm, agri-tourism, and a “U-pick patch” all on 35 acres. The rainbow trout are hatched from a quality broodstock and raised on-site. When these fish grow to an ideal eating size (1-2 lbs), they are used to stock the Spring Valley pond, where the public is invited on weekends and holidays to fish from the grassy banks of the lovely spring-fed pond. The public can also arrange to hold fishing parties, pond-side picnics, events, and workshops.
Lyndon Fish Hatcheries is owned and operated by Lynn Rieck and Sean Pressey. Most of their business is selling fingerlings (baby fish) to other fish farms who then raise them. They also sell table-ready 1-2 lb fish to a distributor who then sells the fish to grocery stores, butchers, and restaurants. Any individual or business can contact Lyndon Fish Hatcheries and order small or large amounts of smoked or fresh local trout. Arctic Charr, both fresh and smoked, from their Manatoulin Island location is also available.
Whether you catch it yourself from the pond or order it from the hatcheries, you know that fish from Lyndon will be fresh, local and delicious.
Come and cast your line in our stocked pond and fish for rainbow trout. A great outing for families or groups. Public Fishing open 7 days a week during July & August. Open weekends and holidays April-June and September until Thanksgiving.
